Product Development Manager - Personal Care

The Job

  • Manages end to end product life cycle management and new product development for designated areas
  • Performs market analysis to develop concepts that are differentiating from competitors (including product claims), partnering with Consumer Insights on market trends & consumer insights
  • Partners with Commercial team on Category Own Brand strategy and Range review to identify new Own Brand opportunities and develops compelling business case
  • Creates and manages Critical Path, mapping out activities, highlighting the critical path and dependencies, to achieve Critical Path timelines & on time launch
  • Partners with Commercial Teams to drive sales & profit
  • Coordinates with Design and Technical Teams, ensuring that design and regulatory guidelines are complied
  • Complies to Own Brand Procurement process to ensure all legal obligations are met and in conjunction with Technical Team to ensure that all products are safe, reliable & meet quality requirements
  • Manages supplier base, identifying the best supplier for the category, optimizes costs, and overall supplier relationship management

The Person

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or other related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences in FMCG brand management, product development,  sales and merchandising or relevant experience in retail
  • Preferred those with work experience with Personal Care products
  • A sound understanding in product development and category management metrics and techniques
  • Strong analytical mind and business planning abilities
  • Highly independent, good interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
  • Open to travel to business units in the region
  • Fluent written and verbal English & Chinese
