Assistant Product Manager (Food and Non-Food)

The position is responsible for overall product life cycle management including developing Own Brand food & non-food product launch planning for various Dairy Farm business units, aligning with Own Brand strategy and direction so as to maximize sales and profitability, achieving the business targets of the Group.

The Job:

  • Overall product life cycle management (sales / price / profits / quality)
  • Partnering with Commercial team on Range review to identify new Own brand opportunities and develop compelling business case
  • Conceptualize product ideas, develop and launch New food and non-food product ranges (including ongoing improvements of existing products) in collaboration with Commercial, Sourcing & Product Development teams
  • Perform competitive market analysis to develop concepts that are differentiating from competitors (including product claims), partnering with Consumer Insights on market trends & consumer insights
  • Keeping up to date with forthcoming trends, making sure our product is developed in the correct direction and is relevant in the market place
  • Partnering with Commercials to drive sales & profits
  • Coordinate with Design and Technical teams, ensuring that design and regulatory guidelines are complied


 The Person:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Food science or other related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experiences in FMCG product development,  sales and merchandising
  • Preferred those with work experience with food and non-food products
  • A sound understanding in product development and category management metrics and  techniques are essential
  • Good analytical mind and business planning abilities
  • Highly independent, good interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
  • Open to travel to business units in the region
  • Able to work under tight timeline and pressure
  • Good team player
  • Good command on both written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English
  • Candidate with less experience will consider as Assistant Manager
